Summary: In the old days, before TV, an Irish Catholic family, after dinner, would pray the rosary. Then the men would drink some whiskey, the women smoke their pipes, and the children play musical instruments. Family life was simple and poor, but held together by Catholic traditions. Then the industrialists and factories changed everything.

We must grasp on to the dying, but glowing embers of our Catholic culture and bring back the flame of faith into our homes. A family’s regular prayer life is the first step.
