Did those counties welcome him?
Oh no. He had to fight them.
Did many die on his account?
Well, yes. War, you know.
So he brought about the death of many, right?
Well, I guess You could put it that way.
You know, Dante puts your Alexander in Hell.
In Hell?
Yes, in the river of boiling blood. The place for murderers.
But he was a great general!
He had no right to invade those countries. The world calls him great but right reason calls him a murderer.
Oh, I see. I remember now: the world, the flesh and the devil.
Yes, the world calls evil good.
