Although not a homily, this is worth listening to. This is the acceptance speech of Congressman Dan Lipinski, of Illinois, upon receiving the “Simply Catholic” award for standing in defense of life as a U.S. representative. Although there was pressure in Congress for him to accept the health care plan, including a call from President Obama, Lipinski “had no struggle” on this issue because “I knew where I had to be.” He said that in life, we don’t know what God’s will is, but “we have to do our part in it.”
