Fr. Jason Welle, O.F.M.
First Reading: Gen. 12:1-9 The call of Abraham
Summary: It’s difficult for a young person to embark on a new journey. Much more so for Abraham, who was 75 when he heard the call from God to move to a new place.
Faith must always manifest itself in action. God doesn’t just say to Abraham to take a risk. He makes a particular promise. God doesn’t ask us to do anything without his gift and grace to carry it out.
For us, we must ask, “What do You want me to do today?” In today’s Gospel, we are told to stop judging others.
