2nd Sunday of Lent, Feb. 24, 2013
Deacon Robert Banet
You remember my sister?
Yeah. Agnes?
Yes, Agnes. She had a run-in with a neighbor.
What about?
Oh, something about picking up the garbage. Anyway, they really got into it and the neighbor ending up calling Agnes some bad names.
Like?
You don’t need to know. You’ve got itchy ears. Anyway, Agnes says she’s neve going to speak to the neighbor lady again.
I thought Agnes was a church-goer. Doesn’t she go to Mass every morning?
Yes. I told her she has to forgive the lady. Especially since she is so regular about going to church.
What did she say that?
She said that’s none of my business. Church is one thing and her private life is another.
Hah! She really knows how to put the gospel into action!
Well, we don’t want to be judgmental but you’re right, she should be listening to the Lord in everyday matters.
You sure got a bunch of crazy relatives.
I have to remind you again: don’t be judging others.
I guess you’re right.
