25th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Deacon Robert Banet
Professor Shark Lectures
And so, my little fishes, you see all these wonderful fish all around us. And then there’s the plants. Aren’t they marvelous?
Yes. There are so many and so beautiful plants and fishes.
Right. Nature is truly wonderful.
Oh. By the way, I bumped into Mr. Whale the other day.
My child, you must be careful about talking to strangers.
He told me there is something called air. And something else called land and sky. Could that be true?
Well, you know we do not talk about what is true. We just describe what we see. But as to Mr. Whale. You mustn’t pay attention to him. He’s old and just because he’s so big, he thinks he knows more that we do. Just listen to what you learn at Ocean U.
You mean there is no such thing as air or land or sky?
Of course not. What you see around you is all that there is. Anybody who says differently is no real scientist.

Grandpa, I think I see what you’re getting at by this crazy tale of yours.
Oh? What do you think I was getting at?
Well, I was just watching Professor Carl Sagan on television.
And?
And he said to look at the stars and the planets and the animals and plants. He said that’s all there is. That’s the whole of reality. That’s what you were getting at, wasn’t it?
Son, you’re beginning to see through your old grandpa.
