The Habit Given by Our Lady

According to Canon Law, religious should have a “distinctive garb”. This garb or habit is a sign of the unity of the community and religious poverty. The Order of Mercy has always seen their clothing as “Mary’s Habit”, since tradition holds that it was given to St Peter Nolasco by Our Lady of Mercy.
