Gospel: John 13:1-15. The Last Supper

Summary: The same body and blood offered the next day on the cross happens on our altars every day. Crucifixion does not remain on a hill in Jerusalem. The Mass is not just a bunch of holy words. Protestants don’t believe in the body and blood of Christ. Catholics who leave the Church lose this. The Mass is the difference in our lives between salvation and damnation.
This video homily is brought to you by the Georgetown Visitation Sisters in Washington, D.C. Saint Francis de Sales’ “little virtues” of gentleness, kindness, humility, and cheerful optimism shape monastic life for these sisters.
